Design firm celebrates top rugby tournament win

A North East design agency has proven it has the winning formula to success in the sports sector after adding a prestigious international tournament to its client list.

Teesside firm M Media & Design, which already has a number of high profile sports clients, was enlisted for the second year in succession to supply its services to the Powder Byrne Schools Six Nations tournament.

The event, which culminated in an all-action finals event in London last week, saw school teams from Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and France compete for the tournament title.

M Media was called in to design the programme, pitch-side advertising boards, outdoor signage, flags, on-line marketing campaigns as well as the branding for the event’s sportsman’s dinner, which was sponsored by Deutsche Bank.

In addition to providing these services, the Company also sponsored the event along with Musto, Deutsche Bank, Service Graphics, RAM and Morton Fraser.

Tournament director David Dunbar said: “After doing such a good job last year, it was great to have M Media back on board and the Company once again made a vital contribution to its overriding success this year.”

M Media’s Mark Skirving said: “We were really excited about being involved in such a prestigious international tournament. We already have a strong foothold in the sports sector, with London Scottish currently among our clients, and we hope to expand in this industry in the future.”

M Media has a number of sporting clients on its books including Klas International, which is backed by Scottish rugby International legend Kenny Logan.

The Company currently employs seven people but, on the back of increased demand for its services, is currently looking to recruit a new web developer.
