Publicity Seekers delighted with new acquisition

PR firm Publicity Seekers has strengthened its management team with the appointment of one of the region’s leading practitioners.

Sally Pearson has joined the North East-based business as director alongside its founders Samantha Lee and Jonathan Ward.

Sally, who serves on the committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), has worked within the communications industry for more than 20 years with prominent PR agencies in London and Manchester, as well as eight years as head of PR at Newcastle’s Robson Brown.

She said: “I’m really excited to be joining Publicity Seekers at a time when the business has built solid foundations for sustained growth.

“Sam and Jonathan have built a bright and vibrant agency with a reputation for delivering media-savvy public relations services based on enthusiasm and expertise.”

Publicity Seekers was formed in 2006 and has worked with an impressive portfolio of clients including Dawson & Sanderson, Finance Tree, J & B Recycling and the Football Writers’ Association.

The company has clients on a national and regional basis in both the public and private sectors and has acquired a number of new clients this year including Chelsea Summerhouses, and Newcastle-based LED business Low Carbon Lighting.

Jonathan said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Sally on board. She is a highly respected figure in the PR industry and has an incredible amount of drive and determination. She is going to be a massive asset to this agency.”

While at Robson Brown, Sally managed several award-winning clients including Fresh – Smoke Free North East, DFDS Seaways and Deloitte. She has taken on a strategic role at Publicity Seekers to broaden the agency’s services and increase its specialisms.

She added: “It is encouraging to be winning significant new business in the current climate and that reflects our growing reputation of adding value to a client’s bottom line.
