Judging a book by its cover
Guerilla Communications has been hired by a London bookbinding company, which supplies the Royal Family and has close to a one hundred year heritage, to deliver an integrated marketing and communications campaign. Newcastle-based Guerilla pitched against three London agencies to win the account of Blissett’s.
Gary Blissett, Managing Director, Blissett’s, said, “As a family run company now with a fourth generation of the Blissett family in the senior team, we care very deeply about our brand and heritage. This is the first time we’ve embarked on such a major repositioning of the brand so it needed a lot of careful consideration as to whom we were going to work with. The team at Guerilla impressed us from the start with their knowledge of the brand and the amount of research and work they put into presenting to us.”
Guerilla has been asked to re-brand and reposition Blissett’s as well as support their marketing activities with an integrated campaign including PR, design, e-shot strategy, online marketing, direct mail and designing and building their new website for them. Essentially, Guerilla will be acting as the marketing department for Blissett’s, providing planning and strategic input.
Blissett’s was formed in 1920 and is one of very few companies to have been awarded the Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen in 2010. A Royal Warrant is generally recognised as a commitment to the highest standards of quality and service and enables the supplier to advertise the fact that they supply to the Royal Family.
