Female entrepreneurs offered £10m fund
A £10m cash fund has been opened for female entrepreneurs to coincide with International Women’s Day (March 8th).
Boost Capital, an alternative financier, said the fund will support entrepreneurial women with ambitions of business growth.
The company said women often find it harder than men to access finance, and said this targeted strategy will help Boost Capital to develop its relationships with female entrepreneurs.
Businesses from a variety of sectors can win funding, including hospitality companies, salons and spas, restaurants, garages, dental firms and independent retailers.
David Abbott, managing director of Boost Capital, commented: “The UK has a thriving community of female entrepreneurs, but many struggle to secure the suitably-priced funding they need to take their business to the next stage.
“We will work closely with our clients and their advisers in multiple sectors to raise awareness throughout these industries that there are other lending options out there.
“By establishing this fund, we have a great opportunity to make a real difference to the growing number of female entrepreneurs with capital injections that can be used for any business expense, from renovations to acquisitions.”
Boost Capital lets companies use forecasted sales to secure investment for new equipment, stock, staff, marketing or expansion, and owners can qualify for amounts between £5,000 to £500,000.
