Welwyn leads the way with pioneering property business
Welwyn Garden City this week becomes the first place in the UK where a groundbreaking property company will open for business - as a husband and wife team bring a revolutionary lettings agency to the town.
Headed by married couple Kevin and Petra Harris, KIS Lettings offers a unique service to landlords, with an emphasis on cutting-edge technology and original thinking.
Operating from Venture House in Watchmead , KIS are unlike old-fashioned lettings agents as they do not ask tenants for a deposit. Renters are instead asked to nominate a family member or friend to guantantee their rent, making it easier for landlords to find good tenants by reducing the costs of moving in to properties, while also providing home essentials them with complete protection and peace of mind.
The efficiency delivered by KIS? pioneering use of software also allows it to offer a high quality service to tenants and landlords alike for a fraction of the fees charged by competitors ? while also allowing landlords to inspect their accounts online 24 hours a day 7 days per week.
Every new KIS tenant also gets a free Home Move Box of and cleaning products as soon as they move in, helping them feel at home as fast as possible.
Kevin said: ?Petra and myself love our hometown, and we?re immensely proud to be putting Welwyn, Hatfield and the surrounding villages at the cutting edge of the 21st century property industry.
?We?ve seen firsthand how many landlords are crying out for an efficient, effective and transparent lettings agency they can really trust ? especially the so-called ?accidental landlords? who have become property entrepreneurs as a result of the economic downturn rather than by design, and we think the KIS approach offers them that.
?With our second child due later this year, this really is an exciting time for our family and our business, and we can?t wait to get started offering a world class service to the landlords of Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield.?
The KIS model began in the North East, where the company manages properties for 700 landlords across the region.
KIS Lettings founder Ajay Jagota said: ?This is the first KIS branch to open outside of our native North East where our innovative approach has proved a real hit with landlords and tenants alike.
?It?s really exciting for us to be expanding our business with Kevin And Petra joining our team and taking our revolutionary approach into other parts of the country ? not to mention that innovative businesses focussed on offering a first class service to their customers can thrive even in tough times like these.?
