ClearSky in Hull KR Super League sponsorship deal
SME advice specialist ClearSky Business has agreed its first sports sponsorship deal in a move designed to support its ambitious growth plans.
The partnership will see ClearSky become rugby league side Hull KR’s principal sponsor for the 2014 Super League season, which kicks off in February.
ClearSky’s logo will adorn Hull KR’s home and away shirts and the company will also be given advertising space at the club’s Craven Park stadium.
There are plans to hold a series of free ClearSky workshops for small businesses and start-ups at Craven Park’s North Stand, a recently completed £8m development that houses an Enterprise Hub Training Centre.
News of the deal was announced at Hull KR’s official kit launch event, which took place yesterday (Sunday, 24th November).
It comes as ClearSky – which provides fixed-fee advice to SMEs on accountancy, tax, payroll, HR and employment law matters – aims to attract its 2,000th client by mid-2014.
ClearSky Business managing director Derek Kelly said: “We’re pleased to be teaming up with Hull KR, and anticipate a successful season both on and off the pitch.
“The club demonstrates a level of ambition that is mirrored in our own core values.
“With the new North Stand being developed as a hub for business and enterprise, this agreement sits perfectly with our ethos of supporting small businesses and enabling them to get on and grow.”
Linton Brown, director of commercial affairs at Hull KR, said: “We are delighted to welcome ClearSky Business as our new principal sponsor.
“This announcement comes at an exciting time for the club, and we will be proud to carry the ClearSky Business name on our shirts.
“We look forward to forging a solid partnership with ClearSky that goes way beyond a simple shirt sponsorship, and helps small businesses in Hull and beyond to thrive and prosper.”
