Newcastle photographer to provide Google Maps business view in the region
Photographer Adrian Don of 360DegreesNorth has become one of a select handful of photographers in the region to have become certified as a Google Trusted Photographer.
Adrian has invested in Google-approved specialist camera equipment and undertaking training to meet Google Maps’ strict quality standards.
This comes as Google this week rebrands its exciting and unique way for businesses to market themselves on the World Wide Web - Google Maps Business View, formerly Google Business Photos.
Adrian, who joins around just 300 professional photographers in the UK currently involved in the programme, is set to offer the service to businesses in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.
Google Maps Business View is building on the work accomplished by Google Street View, now enabling browsers to view the inside of shops, leisure and hospitality facilities, providing an interactive look around a business’ premises from their desktop or mobile devices.
Business View allows businesses to showcase their offering through professionally created high-quality panoramic virtual tours inside their premises. It aims to improve the user experience; enabling potential customers to better connect and understand the business offering.
Google Maps Business View also enhances the way businesses appear in Google Search, Maps and Google+. It is envisaged that small businesses right through to household names across retail, hotel, leisure and entertainment will be at the forefront of taking advantage of Google’s little-known but revolutionary initiative.
Adrian Don of 360DegreesNorth commented: “Businesses of any size can benefit greatly from Incorporating Google Maps Business View into their marketing, helping them to make a bigger impact online.
“Google have taken their Street View technology and taken it to another level. To have your business tour within Google maps when people search locally is an amazing feature that my clients are excited to be a part of.
“I envisage that many businesses that take up Business View will be retailers, salons and hospitality venues, but car dealerships have also benefited, and even manufacturers can have tours of their factories put online for the world to see.”
Adrian added: “Business View is affordable, tailored to each individual business and has no ongoing fees or subscriptions, making a very attractive option.”
Adrian has been an editorial and public relations photographer for many years, including several years spent as a press photographer at ncjMedia, publishers of The Journal, Chronicle and Sunday Sun.
