Department Head at Asons Qualifies as a Solicitor
Asons Solicitors’ Stephanie Matthews has completed her two year training contract and is now officially a solicitor within the Bolton-based law firm. She was previously promoted to the position of Head of Industrial Disease Pre-Litigation back in September 2014.
It’s been a rocket-flight ascent for Stephanie as she was previously promoted to Team Manager after just three months with the firm, then earned herself a training contract to become a qualified lawyer at the six months mark.
Stephanie’s success was inevitable as she holds the business’s record for the most settled cases in any one month. She has championed the cases of over 50 noise-induced hearing loss victims and won every time, in addition to managing cases involving work-related leukaemia or asbestos exposure.
Before joining Asons, Stephanie worked on industrial diseases cases for 15 months at a law firm in Preston, before switching to the successful Bolton practice where she planned to: “stamp my mark on the pre-litigation department and get the department hitting target consistently”, and continue “promoting staff from within and training and mentoring fee earners.”
“I’m incredibly grateful to Asons and glad that I could give something back after being given the opportunity of a training contract here. It’s a very proud moment and the best achievement in my career to date. I’m looking forward to continuing my career and development with Asons.”
Asons’ Principal lawyer, Kamran Akram said:
“Stephanie is consistently successful and in a very short space of time has proven that she has what it takes to succeed in Industrial Disease. She has a great work ethic and continues to gain great feedback from her clients. As the Head of a Department, you need to lead by example, and I can’t think of a better example for our Fee Earners to follow. I’m proud to have her with us.”
Asons currently has several executives who are in the midst of their training contracts and looking forward to also becoming full-fledged solicitors in the coming months.
