Fashion brand Izabel London expands into India

Womenswear brand Izabel London has signed an exclusive deal allowing retail chain Pantaloons to sell its products across India.

As part of the agreement, which marks Izabel London’s first foray into the Indian market, the brand will feature in 145 Pantaloons stores.

According to Business Standard, the CEO of Pantaloons, Shital Mehta, said of the agreement: “Our intent behind introducing Izabel London to our women consumers is to create exciting moments for them to shop at our Pantaloons stores.”

Speaking further, Mr Mehta said that for Pantaloons, womenswear is a rapidly growing segment and today forms a large part of the overall business.

Pantaloons is owned by Mumbai-headquartered conglomerate Aditya Birla Group.

While Izabel London primarily operates through its digital platform, the firm’s range is also available on the high street through a number of department stores, including House of Fraser and Debenhams.

Business Standard reported that in the UK, the brand is available at more than 500 points of sale. Globally, Izabel London has over 1,000 points of sale.
