A well-established online networking group for North East business people will meet for the first time in November as part of a series of quarterly events aimed at boosting the performance of the region’s SMEs.
The North East of England Business Network, which is hosted on LinkedIn, has close to 8,000 members from the private sector business community, is inviting businesses and entrepreneurs to its inaugural physical meeting that will discuss ‘How to grow a successful business online’.
Confirmed panellists include Dan Foskett, Managing Director of Connection Retail, which includes established brands such as Grass Direct and the Flooring Superstore, Paul Lancaster, Founder of Plan Digital UK and Newcastle Start-Up Week, as well as Ruth Lopardo, Owner of loveitloveitloveit, which sells ethically sourced children’s clothes.
Taking place at Malmaison, Newcastle on 2 November at 5:30pm, the event is sponsored by Newcastle-based chartered accountants, Ryecroft Glenton. It is open to all individuals operating in privately owned businesses in the North East and tickets can be booked here - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/how-to-grow-a-successful-business-online-tickets-27520277892
Graham Robb, Owner of the North East of England Business Network, said: “With 92 per cent of the UK’s population using the internet and 72 per cent of these people making an online purchase, the e-commerce market is massive and is only going to expand as our attention is increasingly focused on a variety of screens.
“The North East’s digital economy is thriving and it will be great to hear from some of the region’s business leaders, who will share their knowledge and experience of the online marketplace.”
