Pegasus Group promotions reward talent and hard work

National multidisciplinary consultancy Pegasus Group has welcomed the new decade with a number of regional and group promotions.

In total, there will be 8 new Associates based in the regions, while 6 members of staff are now heading up their respective departments.

Associates are Hannah Armstrong, Heritage Consultant in the Bristol office; Rebecca Dennis (Manchester), Krishna Mistry (Leeds), James Walker (Cirencester) and Stuart Wells (Birmingham) have all been made Associate Planners; James Fairweather (East Midlands) and Jessica Frapwell (Bracknell) have been promoted to Associate Urban Designers and Isobel Hollands in the Cirencester office has been made Associate Environmental Planner.

Group promotions see Christina Johnson, based in the Birmingham office, made Group Head of Health and Safety. This follows a series of group promotions that took place throughout 2019, with Dan Bentley made Senior Director of Group IT; Kerry Grice, Head of Finance; Stephanie Lawrence, Head of Marketing; Mark Ballantyne, Associate Group Brand Designer and Emma Thurlby joining the company as Head of HR. Further promotions throughout the company see 8 members progressing to Principal level and an additional 13 staff promoted to Senior level.

Pegasus Group Managing Director Tony Bateman said: “It is extremely pleasing to start the new decade with a number of internal promotions as it allows us to acknowledge and reward the talent, hard work and commitment of our colleagues.

“2019 proved another successful year in which we achieved our ambitious plans for growth and expansion and we now number more than 310 staff based across 14 offices, including our latest overseas in Dublin.”

“The Group has had a very good last 6 months despite difficult trading conditions and I believe we will see this continue into 2020. We hope yet again at year end in July to emulate our last financial year’s achievement and record yet another good increase both in revenue and profit.”

Hannah Armstrong joined Pegasus Group in 2016 with her primary area of expertise being the built historic environment. Alongside providing advice to clients as to how the historic environment may influence design, and conducting assessments of impact, Hannah also has experience of preparing and presenting evidence as an Expert Witness. Recent projects have included assessments of buildings of varying dates ranging from Medieval dwellings to World War Two military structures.

Rebecca Dennis is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has 15 years’ planning experience. She prepares, manages and negotiates complex planning applications in the residential and commercial sector. Rebecca’s involvement in planning applications and appeal begins at the initial feasibility stage and continues through to the final decision. Her work also involves strategic planning functions such as site promotion through the plan making process.

Krishna Mistry joined Pegasus Group in October 2018 bringing with her extensive experience within the development management sector, specialising in residential, commercial and mixed-use proposals.

James Walker is Chartered Town Planner with more than 10 years professional experience. He initially worked as a planning officer at Local Planning Authorities in London and Oxfordshire. James’ experience included acting lead case officer for a wide range of planning applications, including development with complex issues, which provided a sound base for understanding the planning system, planning regulations and negotiating with planning officers. While at Pegasus Group, James has worked for a range of clients across a wide variety of development sectors, with a particular focus on residential and energy sectors.

Stuart Wells joined Pegasus Group in 2011 and leads in the project management of a variety of development proposals through the planning process. This includes complex strategic residential, commercial and infrastructure development, including more recently the delivery of new Motorway Service Areas. Stuart support clients with land promotion through the Plan-making process, with particular specialism regarding housing land supply and housing need. This has also led to successful outcomes at planning appeals.

James Fairweather joined Pegasus Group in 2014 following the completion of his undergraduate degree in Architecture. Continuing his education with the assistance of Pegasus, James has gone on to complete a master’s degree in Architecture whilst working full-time on a wide range of projects, for a mixture of small and large clients. Jessica Frapwell joined the business four years ago from Redrow Homes having completed her degree in Architecture at the University of Liverpool. She works on a wide range of projects and specialises in residential design.

Isobel Hollands has worked at Pegasus Group for nearly 6 years and in that time has managed Environmental Impact Assessments for complex masterplans, infrastructure projects and applications for various renewable energy technologies. Previously, she worked as a developer in the renewable energy industry and at Bristol City Council. Having worked for both sides of the development argument she has the experience to manage applications so that objections and concerns are identified prior to submission and resolved whilst ensuring commercial viability is retained.

Christina Johnson joined Pegasus Group in 2004, achieving Chartered status in 2017. Christina has established and maintains a successful Health and Safety System for the company, where more recently obtaining ISO 45001 accreditation.
