Morley Hayes opens the doors of its four-star hotel to key workers

Derbyshire hotel, leisure and golf complex, Morley Hayes, has opened the doors of its four-star hotel to key workers who need a place to stay during the current coronavirus pandemic.

The complex on Main Road in Morley, recently launched a take-away and delivery service in order to provide its local communities and at-risk individuals with hot and cold meals and other essentials.

Now, owners Andrew and Robert Allsop have followed this up by opening-up their luxury hotel to key workers looking for a place to stay closer to work or somewhere to rest and relax, or people whose company needs them to self-isolate.

Guests can enjoy luxury rooms with tea and coffee making stations, complimentary mineral water, along with laundry facilities and free parking. Room service evening meals and breakfasts, which meet safe-distancing guidelines, can also be ordered.

To ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, Morley Hayes has introduced contactless check-ins with a shield between staff and guests, hand sanitising stations across the complex and strict distancing guidelines.

Commenting on opening the hotel to key workers, Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes said:

“Our hotel is open to all the incredible key workers who are helping to keep our communities running during this uncertain time and we hope to give them a safe space where they can relax and unwind in at the end of a hard day’s work.

“The health and safety of our staff and guests is our number one priority, which is why we’ve introduced stringent distancing guidelines and have put a number of other measures in place that will be strictly enforced to ensure the best possible experience for our guests.

“This includes the installation of purpose-made perspex screens, which create a solid barrier between reception staff and guests. All meals are served in our guests’ rooms and meet our strict self-distancing guidelines.”

The four-star Morley Hayes hotel is set in the heart of the stunning Derbyshire countryside overlooking parkland golf courses.

The 32-room hotel includes executive rooms, family rooms and a range of suites, each with its own private terrace or balcony. Rooms boast a luxury bathroom, satellite TV, wi-fi and high-speed internet access. Hotel guests also receive complimentary use of Morley Hayes’ electric vehicle charging points.
