Eco-friendly hand sanitiser brand secures £500k seed investment to fund expansion

An eco-friendly hand sanitiser brand has raised more than half a million pounds in its first seed investment round.

Purdy & Figg has secured over £500k in a funding round led by a group of unnamed angel investors.

Founded by NHS nurse Purdy Rubin and horticulturalist Charlotte Figg, Purdy & Figg creates products that use natural ingredients in a bid to protect the environment by reducing plastic waste and toxic chemicals.

The investment will fund the company’s ambitious expansion plans, including a range of eco-friendly refillable cleaning products launching early Spring 2021.

Purdy Rubin, co-founder of Purdy & Figg, commented: “We are thrilled to have raised the equity to support the exciting new product launches we have planned for early next year.

“This step towards growing the business has made us even more determined in our mission to reduce plastic waste and toxic chemicals in our day-to-day products.”
