Government funded scheme and local recruitment specialists support local businesses
The fully funded Work and Health Programme: Job Entry Targeted Support (WHP JETS) scheme is supporting local employers to quickly recruit skilled candidates across the North East, Yorkshire and areas of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Designed to support those who have found themselves out of work due to Covid-19, Reed in Partnership’s recently launched campaign ‘Ready for Everything’ showcases their recruitment and training service, which is fully funded by the Government, designed to provide job-ready candidates across a variety of industries, including:
- Logistics, transport and distribution
- Professional, business and financial services
- Creative and digital
- Health and Social Care
- Construction and more
The WHP JETS scheme sees highly skilled individuals equipped with the latest relevant industry-backed training, at no cost to the recruiting organisation. The expert team at Reed in Partnership recognise these individuals are highly skilled assets for local businesses and through the WHP JETS scheme, update their existing competencies with the latest relevant industry-backed training to ensure that they are ready to hit the ground running.
A stepped process ensures businesses and individuals alike are supported to achieve their potential. Close consultation between the WHP JETS team and each business establishes objectives and growth needs, then the identification of suitable candidates from the large WHP JETS talent pool unites businesses and relevant skilled staff. Screening, interviewing, induction and tailored training programmes are also provided at no cost to the recruiting organisation.
Justin Hall, Operations Director at MJ Skills4Careers, praises the scheme and the agile team ethos: “The WHP JETS team at Reed in Partnership have been really responsive and sourced high-quality candidates, which we’ve placed with Amazon, the Co-op, OneBelow and Clipper Logistics, to name just a few.
“Attentive and reactive to the needs of individuals and businesses, the WHP JETS team continue to be instrumental in providing work-ready, skilled candidates for a range of roles that we resource.”
The government-backed scheme represents a huge cost saving for companies who could otherwise spend on average £4,500 on a recruitment agency – they can access the same service and support through WHP JETS, for free.
Nicola Whelan, head of delivery support at Reed in Partnership, said: “The rate at which our team has collaborated with local businesses and matched their needs to our growing pool of talented candidates is astonishing.
“We are extremely proud to have welcomed 14,903 referrals and 9,673 starts on programme and a phenomenal 1,897 job starts since October.”
“Our team has a wealth of experience of working with employers of all sizes, across multiple sectors. We’re ready to support businesses with the provision of highly trained staff to underpin business needs, so urge organisations to contact us to explore the fully funded support available.”
