Trio of fitness brands set to take space at £2.5bn Elephant Park development

Three fitness brands are set to be the first to move into a £2.5bn regeneration project in London.

Property company Lendlease has announced a trio of signings at Elephant Park, a multi-billion pound project which has been delivered in partnership with Southwark Council.

The new tenants include Fight City Gym, MoreYoga and TempoPilates, with the three brands taking space across two buildings.

Fight City Gym will be taking a 5,459 sq space on New Kent Road, specialising in boxing, mixed martial arts and other contact sports, while yoga specialist MoreYoga will be opening its 34th London studio, taking 1,329 sq ft of space on New Lion Way.

Tempo Pilates, which teaches pilates to the tempo of music, has signed for a 2,498 sq ft space at Ash Avenue.

Guy Thomas, head of retail at Lendlease, commented: “The recent signing announcements for Fight City Gym, More Yoga and Tempo Pilates add to our offer for the local community and highlight our commitment to building a sustainable and balanced array of operators within Elephant Park.”

Mani Johal, co-founder of Fight City Gym, said: “Elephant Park is an exciting new destination and stands as the perfect location within which to expand our offer in South London.

“We are very excited to have signed for a space here and look forward to seeing our combat training classes embraced by individuals of all fitness levels within this existing and emerging Elephant and Castle community.”

Shamir Sidhu, founder and chairman of MoreYoga, added: “At MoreYoga we are committed to offering accessible and affordable classes located conveniently for people’s day-to-day lives, and Elephant Park acts as the perfect local destination to provide this to a new audience.

“After launching our first studio in 2016 we have gone from strength to strength and are delighted to have signed for our 34th space in London; we look forward to welcoming Elephant and Castle community members through our doors and providing everything MoreYoga is about to this vibrant community.”
