Lupton Fawcett appoints Head of Sheffield Office
Yorkshire law firm Lupton Fawcett has appointed highly regarded dispute resolution lawyer Simon Lockley as head of its Sheffield office.
He succeeds corporate lawyer Michele Phillips as the lead partner and will take responsibility for a growing team of specialist lawyers delivering commercial and private client services to the Sheffield City Region
Simon has worked with clients in Sheffield for more than 25 years and became head of the Sheffield dispute resolution team in 2013.
He has wide-ranging experience representing both individuals and organisations in high value litigation cases and a reputation as a robust and highly commercial litigator.
Lupton Fawcett’s Sheffield team has recently been boosted by the arrival of a number of key individuals, including commercial property partner Claire Mayfield-Tulip and private client senior solicitor Charlene Vilia.
The firm’s multi award-winning employment team has also been strengthened with the arrivals of experienced partner Glenn Jaques and solicitor Sabrina Rahman.
Simon said: “I am looking forward to leading the Sheffield team. Having spent my career in the city, the investment we have made in new talent is incredibly exciting. It is also a clear demonstration of our commitment to growing our ability to deliver quality legal services to clients in the Sheffield City Region.”
James Richardson, managing partner of Lupton Fawcett, said: “I have known Simon for more than 30 years since he walked through the door as a new articled clerk at Dibb Lupton Broomhead. Under his leadership the Sheffield dispute resolution team has consistently been one of the strongest performing departments in the firm and I am delighted to congratulate him on his appointment as head of our Sheffield office”
