Thrive helps put Staffordshire on the map with place marketing website
Following a competitive pitch, Thrive, the Cheshire based brand and demand agency, has launched a brand-new website to promote Staffordshire.
The ‘We Are Staffordshire’ place marketing campaign launched in November 2020, with a remit to celebrate the region and promote the area as an attractive place to live, work and visit.
Dave Powell, co-founder of Thrive, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with the team at We Are Staffordshire; as my home county I genuinely feel passionate about the area. Situated at the heart of Birmingham, Manchester and Derby, Staffordshire is a nationally valued centre. It’s the home of global businesses, leading centres for learning, and some of the country’s most spectacular countryside.”
Building an active network of passionate ‘Staffordshire Ambassadors’, from businesses, academia, and the local community, is at the heart of the campaign. And supporting them with a readily accessible marketing toolkit of content and image assets was a key requirement of the website, as well as a dedicated registration and onboarding pathway for new Staffordshire Ambassadors.

“Since the launch of the website and following a series of Ambassador and roundtable debates with some of the Midlands key media titles, we’ve recruited over 70 inspirational Staffordshire Ambassadors – the website Thrive has created for us has been instrumental in achieving that through a dedicated sign-up and exclusive member area for our ambassadors.”
Last month Thrive, together with project partner PSL, supported We Are Staffordshire in the launch of a dedicated member portal and online merchandise store, enabling users to create their own branded marketing materials and order Staffordshire marketing to print.
