Hard work and a degree of self-belief pay off for student
A STUDENT who’s shown she is as bright as a button has been snapped up by a marketing firm even before leaving university.
Rachelle McLachlan, 23, will work remotely for Red Button Marketing and Training while studying Business and Marketing Management at the University of Chester.
Rachelle, of Darlington, is in the final year of a four-year course and decided to go for it when the firm advertised for a graduate - even though it was a little premature, as she felt she had nothing to lose.
Rachelle has already proved she has a great work ethic having tried her hand at everything from hairdressing and retail to event management from the age of 14.
Her family runs an events and balloon company and after being made redundant she took over their social media – boosting engagement and business – which is how she discovered her love of helping businesses thrive.
Margaret Bradshaw, Managing Director at Red Button Marketing and Training, based in Grange Road, Darlington, said: “I was excited to offer Rachelle the post of social media executive as we are a growing business, showcasing an exciting new process for marketing planning, and we felt it was important to expand our team to reflect this.
“Rachelle is an excellent addition to the team, as she brings excellent skills coupled with a wonderful attitude to business success.
“Team Button is a supportive and friendly team, who encourage the best from each other. We all have a creative mindset, which enables us to develop unique ideas and overcome challenges. We love to help businesses grow, this flows into everything we do.”
Red Button Marketing and Training offers a range of training courses and, via their sister company, My Marketing Button, a unique online tool that empowers companies to implement an effective and well-structured marketing plan.
